Michael Koltes
Michael Koltes was born in Hamburg, Germany and raised in California. In his teens, he moved to London. He performed in London's West End as Mozart in 'Eroica' and Louis IVX in 'The Kings Clown' two years running. He started his own pop punk band 'Hypo Psycho', signed to Music Publishing Mogul, Brian Morisson who had published acts such as Pink Floyd, Wham, The Jam, The Spice Girls and George Michael. They released their first single 'Public Enemy Number 1' which charted in the UK and Holland, and was playlisted on The Box and MTV across Europe. The band toured with WHEATUS, MAROON 5, OPM, SPUNGE, FANDANGLE and ZEBRAHEAD. Michael has appeared in Ridley Scotts 'Robin Hood' opposite Cate Blanchet and Russel Crowe and In Spielberg's 'War Horse' as a German lieutenant. He was cast to play US war hero Louis Zamperini in a biopic true life story based on his 47 day survival on a raft in the Pacific surrounded by sharks called 'ADRIFT'. It was picked to open and close shark week in the US and is now being shown across the globe. Other films Michael appeared in 'ALLIES', a WW2 action adventure movie and BROTHERS OF WAR playing the love interest of the lead, a US airforce pilot in WW2 as well as period drama IRONGATE as a french former aristocrat Marcel de Veron. Besides acting and singing, Michael has done a number of other things from Voicing the 'Need For Speed/Most Wanted' trailer and Wii game 'ALL STAR KARATE, the 'MANDKIND' documentary, 'SAVING PRIVATE RYAN' and 'DON'T TRUST THE B' UK TV commercials, KERRANG TV rock chart rundowns as 'Frankenrock', NEED FOR SPEED, NERO's new album 'Between II Worlds' and occasionally doubling for Johnny Depp in Alice In Wonderland and Dark Shadows. He also appears as the frontman/singer in Activision's new 'Guitar Hero Live' due to be released late 2015. He recently finished filming 8 episodes of 'THE BOSTON' part of 'THE KITCHEN MUSICAL' franchise by TGE as the head chef and male lead NOAH BENSON released in Asia and the US. |
